SPC flooring has gained a reputation in recent years--and not always a good one. Here's how Solstone is different.
Why "Resilient" Vinyl Flooring Isn't a Gimmick with Solstone
Plenty of suppliers say it, but we truly mean it. We select only the best, hardiest materials for our flooring. We know basic materials won't stand up to foot traffic, constant use, and daily wear and tear.
That's why all of our SPC flooring comes equipped with a rigid polymeric core. This is a special section that adds density to the plank.
Take a look at this cross-section. The thick core provides added dimension and stability with every step. Plus, its rigidity makes each plank easier to install over subfloors. Weaker flooring collections, which you might find online or at big retailers, might offer flooring styles with a thinner core. This causes too much flexibility, which in turn might warp the planks around the subfloor and lead to instability and damaged planks over time.

Each collection comes with an IXPE pad to further reduce noise and add extra cushioning. This is ideal for busier projects, like hotel lobbies and retail floors that face constant foot traffic.
We dove deep into our wear layer in this article, but remember this key takeaway: it's a special layer that provides an extra method of defense against imperfections. Think of it as a silent safeguard against scratches, stains, and moisture build-up.
With a film layer that captures every vivid shade and texture, and a UV-surface treatment that resists fading, you're choosing a collection that withstands daily wear and tear while maximizing your client's budget.
Step Into the Future with the Core Collection

Looking for a modern edge? You'll find it with the Core Collection.
We only recently introduced this series, but we've seen an influx of contractors and builders requesting samples for these styles. It's not hard to see why their clients are interested in luxury vinyl tile!
This LVT collection closely mimics the beauty and elegance of ceramic flooring--without the pitfalls. Luxury vinyl tile features the attributes of our other SPC flooring, like the rigid core to an IXPE pad. While ceramic tiles might shatter or crack under too much force, luxury vinyl tile is built to withstand hefty static load every single day. Plus, each tile is 12" x 24"--providing a wide, beautiful appearance from any angle.
SPC Vinyl Planks - Variety with Every Collection
You're not backed into a corner with Solstone. Beyond our luxury vinyl tile offerings (and our new laminate flooring and glue down flooring), we proudly offer three distinct SPC vinyl plank collections to bring variety to your builds.
Metropolitan Collection XL

Curious how you can snag a flooring display like this for your showroom? Contact your account manager!
You might have heard your account manager mention the words DiamondDust and UltraShield. These aren't just layers you'll find on any flooring type, with any flooring distributor--they're specialized Solstone protection!

Each 20mil plank features UltraShield for extra support against stains, water absorption. DiamondDust packs a punch on our 22mil planks, great for areas that need a robust flooring solution.
While narrower planks certainly have their place in certain designs, we know builders are turning toward large planks for a more modern look. At 9" x 60", each plank draws the viewer in--making the room more spacious, and installation time quicker than ever.
Coastal Collection & Woodland Collection

Whether your client wants to bring the beach--or the forest--back home with them, these two collections are a great way to let the outside in.
True to its name, the Coastal Collection is ideal for projects needing that seaside appeal. We've leaned into the soft, refreshing colors found nearby our Clearwater headquarters. When it came time to create the Woodland collection, we welcomed four more tranquil tones that turn any room into an oasis.
Industry-Leading Ratings
Some people might consider SPC vinyl to be a subpar solution--with lousy performance testing. That's definitely not the case here.
Each Solstone style undergoes rigorous industry tests. Here's just a sample of our performance ratings (from the Core Collection).

From slip resistance, castor chair cycles, heat tolerance, and sound ratings, we ensure each style performs at the top of its class--because we know that squeaky planks, wobbly tiles, and noise pollution are not an option.
